We feel incredibly fortunate and proud to announce our collaboration with R.M Williams. We witnessed firsthand the lengths that R.M.Williams go to, to ensure longevity in the products they make. At Made by Morgen, we share the same approach with our furniture - commitment to sustainable and ethical production practices ensures that each piece is not only beautiful but also made to last.
Each piece in this new collection features an understated design that emphasizes exceptional craftsmanship and subtle detailing. They are meticulously crafted by hand, using carefully selected materials to ensure the highest quality. The collection was commissioned by a client who was impressed by some prototypes and wanted furniture that complemented their new home, designed by Rob Kennon Architects. The neutral color palette and layered design create depth and visual interest, while the visual lightness of the pieces adds elegance and refinement. A number of pieces utilize the traditional technique of woven Danish cord, providing the furniture with a warm and textural feel. Made by Morgen's design philosophy of exposed joinery and subtle detailing is evident in the use of solid timber for the construction of the furniture.
Morgen and Sandford sees the coming together of furniture designers and makers, Nick McDonald and Charles Sandford. Their respective backgrounds leverage multiple decades of honed industry experience, crafting both their own and commissioned works. The joining of forces comes as a natural progression for both, aligning shared philosophies of simplicity.
